Linguistic Terms Concepts, Roots and Arabic Medernity

Abstract

This study explains the most prominent linguistic terms and concepts, the most important of which are roots and modernity, and sheds light on the differences between researchers on the beginnings of the term linguistics and its first uses in Western culture. It highlights the efforts made to make linguistics independent, starting from George Monin to De Saussure and his efforts and call for the independence of linguistics. This study attempts to reveal the definition of linguistics in Arabic studies, the concept of modern linguistics, the role of this science in linguistics, as well as its authentication, and highlighting the most important problems that linguists have encountered in studying Arabic linguistics.
This study aims to identify the most important achievements of linguistics and its new theories in language and linguistic communication, which express in essence the values of modernity and intellectual renewal, and highlight the civilizational dimension. Given the existence of texts that need analysis, we will use the analytical approach, and given the existence of texts that need description, we will use the descriptive approach.
The study raises a number of questions related to the impact of development in linguistic studies in Arabic linguistic studies, and the approaches to linguistic phenomena and their study, aiming at a methodological vision. This research will have an introduction, a preface, and three chapters. The first chapter deals with linguistic concepts and terms. As for the second chapter, we will highlight the independence of Western linguistic studies, and the third chapter will discuss linguistic studies among Arabs.
