This research entitled ‘The significance of the vowels and silences in poetry Fadwa Toukan’ characterized by study and analysis, deals with revealing the positions of the vowels and silences in her poetry, and the most used sounds, such as: the sound of (ي) that the poet mentioned about sadness and love to express her different feelings, and the experience of torment that she went through since her childhood. Another example: in her brother's commiseration, Nimer, the sound of the rainfall (ر); because it shakes her feelings. In the poetry of the resistance, the sound of (و) expresses the feeling of alienation, and in the suffering of its people the sounds (explosive, loud and whispering.(
