Vision:

The Libyan Journal of Dentistry aspires to be the principal regional outlet for high-quality dental research, recognized by international indexing services for the rigour of its peer review, the integrity of its editorial process, and the relevance of its scholarship to clinical practice, dental education, and public oral health.

Mission:

The journal serves as a vital forum where researchers, clinicians, educators, and policy-makers share and discuss high-quality, impactful work that influences the future of dentistry. The journal welcomes original research, systematic reviews, case reports, short communications, and letters that advance the science and practice of dentistry.

Strategic Objectives:

The Libyan Journal of Dentistry pursues seven strategic objectives:

• Promote scientific publishing across the full breadth of dental specialities so that local and regional researchers, clinicians, and policy-makers benefit from up-to-date evidence.
• Encourage specialists and researchers in dentistry and related fields to publish rigorous, ethically conducted scientific research.
• Raise the standard of scientific research in Libya and the wider region by applying internationally accepted standards of editorial review and publication ethics.
• Establish the journal as a leading regional model in dental and biomedical publishing, recognized by international indexing services.
• Consolidate the principles of comprehensive quality across every stage of research, design, coordination, production, and publication.
• Provide an open-access, diamond-model platform that removes financial barriers to authors and readers.
• Foster a community of practice among dental researchers, clinicians, and educators by hosting transparent and respectful scholarly dialogue.
